Emergency Assistance

Fallbrook Food Pantry has served low income and disadvantaged families since 1991, when the Fallbrook Ministerial Association created Fallbrook Community Project. In 2005, our name was changed to Fallbrook Food Pantry to more accurately reflect its purpose.  It is the largest agency of its kind in the unincorporated areas of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow, De Luz and Pala.

There are opportunities for everyone to participate in this long standing community effort, either by volunteering on site or as donors.  We rely heavily on donations throughout the year and hold two fundraisers each year to offset operating overhead: 5k Thanksgiving Hunger Walk/Run and Annual Golf Tournament.

Our Mission Statement:

  • To aid those in the community in need of food

  • To refer those in need of shelter and medical care to appropriate agencies

Interfaith was founded in 1979 by a handful of diverse faith communities who mobilized to meet the increasing need for assistance in our community. Today, hundreds of congregations have joined their ranks to make up Interfaith's incredible membership network. Through this membership, Interfaith is built on an incredible grassroots network of support in every corner of the North San Diego County Community.

Interfaith offers programs throughout North San Diego County, from the coastal City of Oceanside, to the inland communities south and east of our Escondido headquarters.  With more than 300 member faith centers and more than 130 dedicated staff, Interfaith served more than 16,000 unique individuals last year alone.

These programs are organized into five main areas:

  • Nutrition and Basic Needs

  • Employment

  • Self-Sufficiency and Supportive Services

  • Behavioral Health and Recovery

LifeSpring is a 24 month housing and intensive case management program that offers transition age youth the support they need to become self-reliant. LifeSpring offers youth transitional housing, one-on-one individual coaching from a case manager, employment counseling, and financial assistance.

Ten units of a new apartment complex in the City of Vista are dedicated to youth housing. (see photo at left). The apartments are made available through ain collaboration between North County Lifeline and the non-profit housing developer, Community Housing Works. Transitional services are funded by the County of San Diego, Child Welfare Services.

Bridging the Gap

  • Transitional Housing: LifeSpring offers youth subsidized housing adjacent to Lifeline’s Vista campus where they receive the full array of North County Lifeline’s services.

  • Case Management: Each youth is assigned a Lifeline case manager who provides daily support to help them achieve their educational, employment, and financial objectives.

  • Life Skills: LifeSpring delivers a workshop series that provides social emotional education, builds employment competencies, and develops social networking skills.

  • Barrier Busters: Transition age youth do not have families to help them cover unexpected expenses. LifeSpring steps in by assisting with move-in costs and emergency cash.
